Weekly Inspirational Message

Each week, during her daily meditation time, Rev. Susi Roos, RN, requests an inspirational
messa
ge to share with those who walk the spiritual path with her.

"I don't plan what I am going to write. I've learned to just sit in a space of communion and let myself be used as "mouthpiece" for Spirit. Sometimes, these messages are written as though the speaker is a fellow human traveler and sometimes they are written from the perspective of one who is witnessing and guiding the human journey from "somewhere else". Inner Listening, which is what I call this process of receiving, is a wonderful tool for spiritual growth, guidance and healing. Anyone can do it and I encourage you to create the time, willingness and openness to do it for yourself. In the deep inner silence, we each can access such rich wisdom. After engaging thusly on a daily basis for three years, my first book,
Rhiannon; Truth Seeker, began to come to me -- a wonderful co-creative effort with Spirit. And three books later, the process is no less wondrous. If these message call to you, check them out each week. Perhaps some will resonate more than others. You can also check out the weekly Rhiannon Wisdom Card, which are distilled from the Rhiannon Books. And do consider engaging in this inner listening process for yourself. Thank you for sharing this journey with me...."

 This week's  message: 12/21/08

Unto thy own self, be true.  Unto the Godself, be true.  Unto the ancient, all-knowing God-sourced soul, be true.  That is all one need do to maneuver successfully through human living.  Know thyself and be it.  Rediscover thyself and believe it.  There are no fancy formulas, although the excavating of the authentic Self can be done in numerous ways, as can the burying of the true Self.

Once it is discovered, claimed and lived, all the other answers or decisions become clear, if not always easy.  Just like when one completely identifies with a false self, it is also relatively easy to know what to do- based on this false self.  One will live according to the rules of the world of that identity.  It is when people are aware of more than one identity, each of which operates on different premises, that decision-making can be agonizing, confusing, shame-filled, frightening…. If you know yourself as love, then all decisions will be love-based.  The degree to which you are fear-based, will be the degree to which your decisions and actions are the same.  The degree to which you are in survival mode is the degree to which manipulation and survival tactics will be used and justified.

What to do?  Quiet the self, come back to the inner places.  Offer your fear up upon the Altar.  Always remember who you are – and when you forget, remember again and make any reparations needed for actions carried out in forgetfulness.  Fear and love both create passion.  But only love creates compassion.  Fear often creates ruthlessness, however gently disguised.  Love extends itself in service.  Fear wraps itself in survival.  A fearful self both manipulates and is manipulated.  A loving self offers choices without judgment.

Be the love you are and act accordingly.  Listen more than ever to the wisdom of your heart and trust it more than ever, even when your five senses would challenge its perceptions.  The world is changing rapidly but it is actually following the blueprint of the self becoming the Self.  Your inner wisdom will lead you rightly.

Blessed Creations to You
